Jamerika Haynes-Lewis, a Tacoma, Washington native, brings over 17 years of expertise in multimedia journalism and nonprofit communications. Her inspiring journey—from growing up in foster care to excelling in her field—is a testament to resilience and determination. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Washington State University, studying both broadcast news and production.
Jamerika’s accolades include delivering keynote speeches at more than 50 events, authoring over 100 news stories, and receiving the “Using My Voice for Change” award from Voice for National Adoption. Beyond her professional achievements, she has also worked as a commercial actress, model, and resource specialist supporting young adults navigating foster care and homelessness.
As the former USA Ambassador Ms. 2021, she championed her platform, “A Chance to Succeed: Empowering Youth in Foster Care,” inspiring audiences nationwide. Leveraging her diverse skill set, Jamerika has established herself as a premier motivational speaker, known for her ability to connect deeply with audiences and inspire action. Her message of hope resonates with individuals and organizations seeking to uplift those who feel overlooked or unheard.
